Getting started

How do I sign up?

It’s simple. Just go to our homepage and apply there. Once you are accepted, we’ll send you your Chip & PIN keypad. Then download the WorldPay Zinc app for your iPhone, iPad or Android device. Just follow the simple Quick Start Guide that comes with the keypad.

Which smartphones are compatible with WorldPay Zinc?

You can use the service on compatible iPhone, iPad or Android devices. Your device will need to have Bluetooth so it can link to your Chip & PIN keypad.

Here is a list of the compatible Apple devices:

  • iPod touch (4th and 5th generation)
  • iPhone 5S, iPhone 5C, iPhone 5, iPhone 4S, iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS
  • iPad (2nd, 3rd, 4th generation) and the iPad mini

Please note: If you are using the WorldPay Zinc service with an iPod you will only be able to take payments when you are connected to a Wifi network.

To be compatible with WorldPay Zinc your Android device must meet the following technical specifications:

Android OS 2.3.x or 4.x, with GPS, and with an MDPI resolution or greater. Minimum screen size 480px by 640px.

  • Samsung: Galaxy S, Galaxy S2, Galaxy S3, Galaxy S3 LTE, Galaxy S3 Mini, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note, Galaxy Tab 10.1
  • Sony: Xperia S, Xperia T, Xperia Z, Xperia L

Can I change pricing plans?

Yes. The service adapts to your needs. Just be aware that if you switch plans part-way through a month, all the payments for that month come under the new plan.

How much does it cost to use?

The Chip & PIN keypad is just £39.99, including VAT. Our most popular pricing plan is pay as you go, which means you only pay for the payments you make. But there are other plans to suit different needs. Find out more on our pricing page.

What if I want to change my application after I submit it?

No problem. Just contact our Helpdesk on 0330 333 3601. Depending on the information that has changed, we may need to carry out additional checks.


How do I cancel my account?

If you’d like to cancel your account, just contact our Helpdesk on 0330 333 3601.

Can I link the Chip & PIN keypad to my existing WorldPay merchant account?

No. You need a separate merchant account for WorldPay Zinc.
