Owner: Gemma Holmes
GemBurrito make Mexican style street food for the love of Mexican street food - and serve freshly ground coffee for the love of espresso. Everything about GemBurrito is handmade and made with love. A true family business, the team consists of Gemma, her boyfriend, her best friend, her brother and his girlfriend - and a shared love of great tasting, fresh and healthy Mexican food.
From Gemma, "We love handmade. From our beloved Citroen H Van to our bundled Burritos, everything is handmade. We also love good music and friendly banter, most things vintage too. All we actually want to do is provide fresh food and fresh coffee. Prepping for one event can take three days, but I always laugh that it's the cilantro that puts the gourmet into street eats.
We have a range of foodies on the team with varying backgrounds from artisan coffee shops to vegan and vegetarian kitchens. While my brother and his bird lived in Mexico for a year. All of this goes into make our gourmet street eats for anyone who will have 'em."
And here's a couple of satisfied customer tweets:
"Just had vegan lime and tequila tofu burrito from @gemburrito - it was excellent!"
"Got my first @gemburrito coffee! It's tasty and delicious."
